Before Attending Our Driving Arts Academy

We are very excited to have you join us for our Driving Arts Class.  This will be an exciting and fast-paced day as we have a lot of information to cover in a very short time.  We run classes rain, sleet, snow or sun.  In fact the worse the weather the better we like it!  So please dress appropriately.
Our classes are usually held at Osbourn Park High School, 8909 Euclid Avenue in Manassas, VA, NOT Osbourn High School, the two have similar names and are located in the same city.  Please double check the location of the course you signed up for.

If you have not done so yet, please go to: and register for the course.  If you are using a coupon from Yip Deals or Yelp!, or prefer to pay by check, please select "Offline Payment" and enter your coupon number and the site's name.

To make certain that you get the most from your experience a little preparation is necessary.  Ensure that you have the following items with you when you come to registration:

  • Student's Driver's License or learner's permit
  • Current Insurance Card
It is also important that your vehicle be properly prepared prior to coming to Blacktop Bootcamp.  This will be a day where the car as well as the student will be exercised rigorously and a poorly maintained car is not only dangerous on the street, but it will probably not fare well during our class.  Therefore, to ensure you get the most from the day please do the following:
  • Empty the trunk and interior of the car of all trash, heavy items, books, etc.
  • Ensure that the car's state safety inspection is current.
  • Make sure all windows in the car are clean inside and out.
  • Have any mechanical problems serviced as cooling, braking and engine performance issues may have your student sitting on the sidelines, since we don't have loaner cars for them to use.
  • Ensure all tires are in good condition, no donut spares please.
  • Check to make sure that all fluid levels are at their proper levels (oil, coolant, transmission fluid, etc.).

Insurance regulations also dictate that the only people allowed in the car during class are the student and the instructor. If you are a parent of a student under 18-years of age please remember that, because of insurance regulations, you must stay the entire time your student is at the class. We will have shelter for inclement weather but you will need to bring your own folding chairs, snacks, and drinks.  During the warmer months, sun screen, bug spray and layers of clothing are a good idea.  Cameras and video cameras are welcome outside the classroom, but please no video inside the class.

Also ensure that you silence all cell phones, pagers and intergalactic communicators while in the classroom.

We will have a one-hour break for lunch.  You may bring your own food or go off campus, but the classroom is reserved for instructors only at this time.  The itinerary will be provided on the day of class; however, expect it to run from 8:00am until 5:00pm.

We look forward to seeing you soon.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact us!
